Where are you located?
Our Club is located at 2210 W. Market Street, Johnson City, TN 37604. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 5219, Johnson City, TN 37602
What time are you open during the school year?
The Club opens to members from 2:00 PM till 7:00 PM -- Monday thorough Friday.
What time are you open during the summer?
During the summer members may be dropped off at 7:00 AM for our Full Day Summer Program. The program operates until 6:00 PM--Monday through Friday. We are currently closed on the weekends.
What are your office hours?
Normal office hours are 8:30 AM till 5:30 PM. We request you handle all financial, registration and business questions during this time.
What is there to do?
Programs vary from day to day. Summer program includes the opportunity for trips and special events. During the school year mentoring, homework help, sports, games, arts & crafts are just a few of the daily programs.
Can I play sports?
Members play different sports in the gym each day. Members and others may register for organized atheletics such as Tee-Ball, Flag Football, NFL Flag Football, Tackle Football and Basketball, Triple Play, Gamesroom Tournaments and much more.
How much does it cost?
A membership fee is due for all After School and Summer Program Participants. The Membership is $25.00 and payable annually. Special trips, organized athletics, and programs have various additional fees. After School is $20.00 per month for the first child, $15.00 for the second and is payable the first week of each month school is in session.
Why would I want to join?
It's fun, you spend time with friends, you learn new things, it's fun, it's a safe, positive place for kids, it's fun.
How many members do you have?
In 2006 our Club had 1789 members and served an additional 1800 in community outreach programs.
We average about 175 members each day plus those involved in athletics.
What National/Local Associations are you partnered with?
Our Club is associated with the National Boys and Girls Clubs of America. We are a certified member and meet or exceed all programs, standards and guidelines of the national office. We are also an agency of the United Way of the Greater Johnson City Area. Our Club collaborates with the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, FOP, Parks and Recreation and other local youth groups.
How can I help?
Volunteer your time in the after school program, coach a sport, mentor a child, help with a special event, donate to Sponsor A Youth, Sponsor a Team, be a Golf Tournament Sponsor, Dove Hunt Sponsor or general contributor. Donate to a special event such as Kids Day or the purchase of a new bus/van. Tell your friends and business associates about our mission in the community and encourage them to assist when possible.
How can I make a donation?
Please contact our office at 423-461-4560 and discuss your donation with us. We are a tax exempt service organization and contributions may be claimed as allowed by per current income tax regulations.
How can I volunteer?
Be a coach, mentor, help with a special event, or just arrange to read to the kids one afternoon.
